ESG’s Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) Ground Kit is a cutting-edge solution that improves decision-making for JTACs during challenging CAS scenarios by fusing data from all available sources and providing connectivity to all relevant players on the battlefield.
At the heart of the solution is ESG’s command & control software TARANIS® ADLER with the DACAS-specific plugin EAGLE. The complete ground kit includes integration of suitable hardware according to your individual requirements. DACAS procedures & workflows
EAGLE provides communication and information exchange between JTACs on the ground, combat aircraft and command & control (C2) units by supporting all necessary procedures for DACAS. Easy-to-use workflows ensure that JTACs keep track of all relevant information during a mission including changes and threats to the situation.
Enhance situational awareness
ESG’s flexible command and control system TARANIS® ADLER networks operational forces on the battlefield. The specially adapted DACAS plugin EAGLE provides JTACS with accurate mission information on targets, own ground forces and air assets to enhance situational awareness.
Connectivity & interoperability
EAGLE supports different message formats and standards from a wide range of C2 systems, tactical radios and sensors to support JTAC tasks. The integration of different devices and the seamless digital communication between the entities significantly reduces the workload for JTACs.
Intuitive usability
The intuitive and customisable user interface, context-sensitive touch keyboard and input assistance as well as multi-touch gestures for map navigation ensure
fast and easy use. Tactical overlays, map symbols and annotations address all mission-specific JTAC needs. EAGLE supports all relevant map formats.
The DACAS Ground Kit uses field-tested hardware including communication equipment, intelligent energy supply solutions, electro-optical sensors for target measurement and laser target designators. Customer-specific hardware can also be integrated.
The hardware is easily connected to the software via a USB hub. We also develop and implement tailored ergonomic concepts for carrying and packing the system components in a specially designed vest/backpack.
