ESG at Paris Air Show 2019

At the Paris Air Show 2019 ESG will be presenting a selection of innovative products and services:
Stand Nr. C353 in the German Pavillon in Hall 2C:

• Airborne Operator Console – the modular mission workstation for police, border control and military missions: The new Airborne Operator Console is an enhancement of the existing workstations developed by ESG for performing tasks such as observing large crowds, tracking suspects and search and rescue missions for missing persons or refugees by using HD camera systems, digital maps and a variety of communication equipment.
  The console provides an ergonomically optimized alignment of the two displays and a new high performance mission computer. The mission software is completely developed by ESG and can easily be adapted to any customer specific requirements.

• Enhanced Vision System – the next generation´s IR-camera system:
  ESG offers a piloting Forward Looking IR-System for helicopter mission related tasks. The system enhances situational awareness and reduces the workload of helicopter pilots during night-time and in degraded visual environments. Its Dual-band detector with mid-wave and long-wave infrared spectrum increases the performance in degraded visual environments and provides a color-coded image for the pilot to improve the perception of information. The system has a very high dynamic, fast moving gimbal, together with very low video latency.

• GUARDION – the mission proven modular drone detection and defence system:
  The GUARDION anti-drone solution developed by ESG and its co-operation partners Rohde & Schwarz and Diehl Defence is based on the tried-and-tested system used to protect the celebrations on the Day of German Unity in Berlin 2018 or various major political events such as the G20 summit in Hamburg in 2017, US President Obama's state visit in June 2016 and the G7 summit in Elmau in 2015. Within GUARDION, ESG is responsible for the selection, integration and networking of powerful sensors, the optimised situation overview using the TARANIS^® command & control system developed by ESG and the connection to existing IT networks and infrastructure. GUARDION provides scalable solutions for secure detection and defence against drones in stationary, mobile or deployable configurations, adapted to the individual requirements of customers and situations.

• VECTOR^TM & SCORPION^TM – the tactical eVTOL-UAS:
  Paris will be setting the scene for the international product launch of VECTOR^TM and SCORPION^TM. With these systems ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH and Quantum-Systems GmbH present unique solutions in the field of electrically operated, unmanned eVTOL systems for tactical deployment scenarios. The VECTOR^TM combines the performance advantages of a fixed-wing aircraft with the vertical take-off capability of a helicopter. In just a few simple steps, you can switch to the SCORPION^TM configuration and use the benefits of a sophisticated tri-copter setup thanks to the 2-in-1 system. This allows a fast and highly flexible response to different challenges of changing deployment scenarios. Due to their design, VECTOR^TM and SCORPION^TM are ideal for tactical reconnaissance and surveillance missions even in demanding weather and environmental conditions.
