Kai Horten

Kai Horten is managing director at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.

Before taking on this position, he was CEO of Premium AEROTEC, one of the world's leading companies for the development and manufacture of civilian and military plane structures, and from 2006 to 2011 managing director of ATLAS Elektronik, an innovative, globally active system provider for marine electronics.

Mr Horten started his career in 1989 as an aircraft maintenance officer in the navy, where he assumed various managerial roles involving maintenance and servicing of on-board helicopters for the German navy up until 1995. From 1995 to 1999 he worked as purchasing manager in a supply organisation for the French, German and Italian navies and also as manager of the German liaison office in the French navy in Toussus-le-Noble near Paris. Subsequently he moved to Eurocopter in 2000 and managed the integrated logistics of the German-French helicopter programme TIGER. From 2003, Mr Horten was manager of the Defence division at EADS and was involved in structuring and leading the business unit Defence and Communication Systems. In 2005, he managed a large reorganisation project for the EADS Defence and Security division and took on responsibility for managing the programme area Marine Systems at the beginning of 2006.

Mr Horten completed a degree in aerospace engineering (Dipl.-Ing. Univ.) at the Universität der Bundeswehr in Munich.

Jörg Ohlsen

Jörg Ohlsen is managing director at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.
Together with Kai Horten and Dr. Mihaela Seidl, he is responsible for the entire ESG Group.
Jörg Ohlsens´s focus is on the successful development of ESG´s global automotive business. Thus he is also managing director of ESG MOBILITY GmbH.

 Jörg Ohlsen studied mechanical engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. After the successful graduation as Dipl.-Ing. (FH) he began his career in the field of simulation technology / production engineering at EDAG Engineering & Design AG.
After several leadership positions in the areas of simulation technology, material flow, robot simulation and product development, his career takes him to the top of EDAG Engineering GmbH in April 2008, as its CEO.

From January 2014 to December 2014, Mr Ohlsen was responsible for the successful integration of Rücker AG into EDAG Engineering AG as CTO of EDAG Engineering AG. Subsequently, as CEO of EDAG Engineering GmbH and as CEO of EDAG Engineering Group AG Switzerland, he actively managed thecompany´s further national and international growth course. 

 

Dr. Mihaela Seidl

On May 1, Dr. Mihaela Seidl was appointed as managing director of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH and as Chief Financial Officer of ESG Group. Together with managing directors Kai Horten and Jörg Ohlsen, Dr. Mihaela Seidl is responsible for the continued successful development of the entire ESG Group.
Dr. Seidl, is a strategic finance executive with extensive international experience in Asia, Europe and the USA in management, business administration, finance management, M&A and capital markets.
She has a proven track record and domain expertise in industrial space and project business, including IT, renewables and healthcare.

Most recently Dr. Seidl served as CFO of GE Distributed Power and Member of the Supervisory Board of GE Deutschland Holding. There she was responsible for the entire financial area of ​​the internationally operating business unit. Mihaela Seidl started at GE in 2004 as a regional controller for Reinsurance, in 2006 she joined GE´s internal auditing & consulting Group, charged with assignments in multiple GE businesses in the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific. During her years of service at GE she took further leadership-responsibilities:

  • CFO and Member of the Board of Directors at GE Healthcare Deutschland.
  • Managing Director Europe for Commercial and Project Finance
  • CFO, GE Central & Eastern Europe

She started her career at ABB Group as a project controller and spent 3 years at Varetis AG in Munich, Germany, as a financial controller before joining GE. Dr. Seidl studied business administration at the University of Economic Studies, Bucharest / Romania and did her doctorate.
