Our experienced engineers and software developers go the whole way in the engineering of flying systems: from the concept and development to the integration, certification and maintenance. As a general contractor, we provide our clients with the use of systems: we train the trainers and provide the appropriate training resources. In addition, our employees manage the flying system with individual product support. This allows our clients in different areas of the aviation industry to rely on ready-to-use solutions.
Our replicas of cockpits and ground stations of flying manned and unmanned systems are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. We simulate a wide range of aircraft, cockpit functions, tasks or missions. This means that we can already test the functionality of solutions before we get on with the practical implementation.
We develop client-specific deployment and mission systems for manned and unmanned aircraft and helicopters with state-of-the-art technology.

Commercial drones now represent a serious security risk, not least due to the increasing number and their universal use by everyone. Major public events but also safety-sensitive infrastructures and facilities, such as power stations, major industrial facilities, Bundeswehr (German armed forces) bases or prisons, must be able to react them.
With this in mind, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH has already been providing a scalable solution to detect and defend against dangers posed by the unauthorised use of commercial drones since the beginning of 2015, together with other partners in the high-tech industry. Our engineers particularly value the expert discussions with colleagues from leading German and European companies in the fields of radar, radio and electronic defensive measures.
Our targeted technology projects have now already set milestones in areas such as sense and avoid or manned / unmanned teaming. In close cooperation with the OEMS of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), we enhance the performance of their systems with our tailor-made applications. As a system support company, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH takes over full responsibility for UAS and also offers to operate UAS for clients. ESG's own unmanned mission avionics test helicopter (UMAT) provides an unmanned aircraft that can operate all development and testing aspects in the field of UAS.
We simulate avionic systems down to the last detail with our broad knowledge in aircraft and simulation technology. We realise scalable training resources based on a modular architecture – from a park task trainer to a flight training device – cost effectively and efficiently for our clients. Our high-quality simulators include tactical environment simulations and optimal mission rehearsals.
The work of our employees in this area includes the analysis of education and training requirements for the users, the creation of training concepts, virtual desktop trainers and much more. For example, we have developed the aviation psychology helicopter system, the Sea Lynx cockpit procedure trainer and the UH Tiger desktop procedure trainer.
