COBRA In-Service Support contract with ESG renewed!

In October, the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR) and ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH signed a new In-Service Support (ISS) contract for the COunter Battery RAdar (COBRA) programme for a period of three years, from 2023 to 2025.
This new contract follows a previous ISS contract signed between OCCAR and ESG in 2013, which expires in December 2022.
Under the new ISS contract, ESG will continue to provide the core technical services required to operate COBRA. These include obsolescence, configuration and technical event management, as well as technical support, quality assurance, training and safety.
In addition to the original ISS core requirements, a risk assessment, an IT security assessment, an environmental impact assessment and annual updates of the logistical documentation are commissioned.
Over the past two years, ESG has entered into several COBRA mid-life upgrade (MLU) contracts that will be implemented over the next few years to modernise the COBRA system and bring it into the 21st century.
With this new ISS contract, OCCAR and the two COBRA Participating States (France and Germany) repeatedly demonstrate their confidence in ESG and confirm that ESG is their strategic COBRA industry partner.
